AFIRMATIVA
Utilizamos used to + la forma base de un verbo para expresar acciones habituales que se repetían en el pasado. En este caso, used to puede ser sustituido por would seguido de la forma base del verbo.
When we were children, my father used to (would) tell us ghost stories (solía contarnos / nos cantaba cuentros de fantasmas)
También en estados o situaciones del pasado que no se dan en el presente.
I used to have a bicycle, but I sold it
Con hábitos o costumbres que se tenían en el pasado.
I used to somoke, but now I don't smoke at all
Hay que recordar que para expresar hábitos o acciones que se repiten en el presente, se usa el presente simple con un adverbio de frecuencia o una expresión temporal.
NEGATIVA
Estas formas necesitan el auxiliar did, y etonces used pierde la d final, en la negativa, se puede utilizar never en lugar de didn't.
I didn't used to / never used to play sports as a child
Did you use to play sports as a child?
What i don't understood is if truth be told how you are now not actually much more smartly-appreciated than you may be right now. You're very intelligent.
