El futuro simple del inglés


AFIRMATIVA:
sujeto + will + forma base del verbo principal.

He will arreive soon


NEGATIVA:
sujeto + will not / won't + forma base del verbo principal.

She will not arrive soon


INTERROGATIVA:
will + sujeto + forma base del verbo principal.

Will they arrive soon?


El Future Simple se usa en los siguientes casos:

  1. Para anunciar acciones o hechos futuros.

We will meet them tomorrow at 8.30 am

  1. Para expresar una decisión repentina tomada en el momento de hablar.

The telephone is ringing. I'll go an answer it

  1. Para expresar una predicción basada en ciertas condiciones.

If you don't work hard, you won't pass your exam
I won't do this again unless they ask me

  1. Para expresar advertencias.

Don't stop now. You'll be late

  1. Para expresar el futuro en la oración principal cuando hay una subordinada temporal con when, before, after, until, as soon as, by the time, etc.

I'll give her the book when I see her
As soon as he leaves the room, I will stop working

EXPRESIONES TEMPORALES

Las siguientes expresiones pueden ir al principio o al final de la frase: tomorrow, next week / month / year, in the year 2020, soon, the day after tomorrow, later on, etc.

Tomorrow I will talk to the teacher about my project
I'll be 20 next week

Hay que recordar que se puede usar el Present Continuous para hablar del futuro.

We are meeting Helen tomorrow at the theatre
